Blowers & Grafton, a lively Halifax-inspired street food restaurant, entrusted me as their Lead Graphic Designer to help drive their marketing efforts since the summer of 2023. My role has involved spearheading design concepts and strategies across various campaigns, ensuring all creative materials align with the brand’s fun, quirky, and bold identity. From social media and newsletters to printed materials, every piece has been carefully crafted to capture attention and get guests through the door to experience the brand’s amazing food and atmosphere.

The design ethos behind Blowers & Grafton is rooted in fun and quirkiness, using visuals that are loud, vibrant, and playful. The core aesthetic is built on wood textures combined with the brand’s signature colors—black, red, and gold. This combination helps create a distinctive, bold look that is recognizable and appealing to their target audience.
For holiday campaigns or special promotions, I tweak the color schemes to fit the theme while staying true to the brand’s signature quirky and approachable vibe. The goal in all designs is to make the food and drinks the star of the show, creating visuals that instantly resonate with the guest experience Blowers & Grafton is known for.
Throughout my time at Blowers & Grafton, I have been responsible for a range of creative projects aimed at enhancing their brand’s visibility. I led the design of various marketing campaigns, transforming strategic concepts into visually engaging materials. My role also included the design, development and maintenance of the new website.
I believe everyone has a unique “Wonderland” inside them – a philosophy inspired by Alice in Wonderland – which I infuse into my work by embracing the weird and unexpected. No matter what I create, I’m always pushing the boundaries of design, exploring new possibilities with every project.
